Reports From Pastors
Build familiarity with your church
Pastor Kevin shared with us how God is blessing his church through his website. Every Sunday likes to stand at the doors and greet everyone on their way out. He said that one Sunday he noticed a couple that he had not seen before. When he shook their hands he asked them if this was there first time visiting. Obviously they said yes and they began to tell him how they had just moved into the area not to long ago. Well Pastor Kevin happened to have a guest speaker in that Sunday morning. He began to apologize by saying, "I'm sorry that you guys didn't get to hear me preach today. I know that means a lot to you as first time visitors." They responded by telling him, "You don't need to worry about that because we have been listening to your sermons online for the last couple of weeks. In fact that is a big reason of why we decided to visit your church." They later become members and have been faithfully attending ever since.

Attract New Visitors
Pastor Tom at the River Community Church in Tulsa, a recent church plant, who called in to tell us that at they had another family (already had 3 other families join in the last 2 months) joined the church as a result of finding them on the website. After talking to them after service, Pastor Tom found out that mother had been listening to the online sermons for weeks and as a result, decided to start going back to church and start bringing them to The River!

Homebound Listen to Sermons
Pastor Ron oversees a growing church with a large number of older members, with a lot of them unable to come to church on a regular basis. As a result, they started a tape ministry with the homebound members so that they could still get the Word from Sunday service. What he really likes about the website is that they can now listen to the sermons online, which before they would have to wait for the tape to show up and be encouraged in the Word in their own home. In fact, Pastor Ron says it has really helped shape the image that the congregation has of itself, in that, with a majority of its membership an aging congregation, by utilizing current technology for ministry, creating excitement for what God is doing in their church!
